We are in the business of provisioning the finest quality American Antique Furniture that is available in our region. I am capable of providing you with a level of expertise that is uncommon in the Midwest. I am passionate about preserving the history of our great country one piece of furniture at a time.
We are stewards of America's past. We don't sell items, we offer a part of that past with the goal that it can become a part of your personal or family legacy. We love that we can help you creatively assimilate history into your own home.
With each piece we find as much information as is known about it. And, we pass that information on to you so that its history can become part of your legacy.
If you can't find a specific item, let us know. We have a direct path into New England and Pennsylvania and can probably find what you are looking for.
OWA is happy to take cash, local as well as out of town checks and of course all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover). We will look forward to serving you.
Married almost 20 years
They lived in Topeka for a time, and now Paxico is where they hang their hat, and call it home!
Dianne, is a registered nurse, Washburn Alum and has spent her entire career at a local hospital serving the public. She is a farm girl, daughter of a Kansas Farmer/Rancher.
Mike, is a transplant but you would never know it! His mother was a "leatherneck" (one of the first 300 woman allowed in the U.S. Marine Corps.), his father was also a U.S. Marine, who served on Iwo Jima. Mike spent his formative years watching his father, a master craftsman, being an important collector of American firearms and was renowned gunsmith. He was also a lover of American Antiques and of our History. His father passed on the skill of working with his hands and his keen eye for quality workmanship.
After working his way through corporate engineering experiences, Mike has settled here in Kansas to do what his heart has always told him to do. Follow in his father’s footsteps and become a master craftsman. He has an excellent eye for detail and a brilliantly gentle hand and the patience of a Saint. These traits combined, make him the one to hand craft your period table!
Another note from a customer:
Mike has the "collector's eye". Your prortions and scale are spot on. You know exactly what it takes to make a piece, into a period piece.
